The National Federation of the Blind of New Jersey will be holding its tenth In-Person BELL Academy in August 2023. The National Federation of the Blind’s Braille Enrichment for Literacy and Learning (BELL®) Academy helps blind and low-vision children, develop the literacy and independent-living skills that will empower them to achieve their academic goals and live the lives they want. The program is offered free of charge to children ages four through 12 years and runs for two weeks. We have many blind mentors who volunteer their time for the academy as well as certified teaching staff.

We ask your support for this fund raiser. The name of this fund raiser “Pennies from Heaven” is meant to convey the importance of every donation no matter how small. Donations will be used to support the NFBNJ BELL Academy and other educational initiatives that help blind people grow into productive members of society.
