Capital Chapter

Purposes, Goals, and Objectives of the NFBNJ Capital Chapter

The purpose of the Capital Chapter shall be to advance the general welfare of the blind in Mercer County and its surrounding areas, in the state as a whole, and in the nation; to function as an integral part of the National Federation of the Blind of New Jersey; to serve as a vehicle for collective action by the blind to operate as a mechanism through which the blind and interested sighted persons can plan and carry out programs to improve the quality of life of the blind; to provide a means of collective action for parents of blind children; to forward the interests of blind students and to provide them with a means of joint action and expression; to promote the vocational, cultural, and social advancement of the blind; to achieve the integration of the blind into society on a basis of equality with the sighted; and to take any other action which will improve the overall condition and standard of living of the blind.

Our Meetings

We meet on the third Saturday of the month at 10 AM. Currently we meet via conference call due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

When we are able to conduct in-person meetings again, we meet at:

You can join the chapter by completing the membership form at You can submit payment via check or money order, or via a credit/debit card or a PayPal account. If you have already submitted your dues payment of $10 a year for the current calendar year, please complete the form so that we know that the information we have on file for you is accurate. If you pay dues between October and December of the current calendar year, it will be counted towards the following calendar year.
